The Agony of Our Lord in the Garden of Olives
In the first sorrowful mystery we contemplate
how Our Lord Jesus Christ prayed to His heavenly
Father requesting the chalice of His passion
to be taken away, nevertheless conforming
Himself to the will of the Father and not
His own. Entering into agony, His sweat became
drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.
Let us beseech Mary, seat of wisdom, to grant
us the virtue of seriousness so that we will
courageously embrace every suffering that
comes our way.
Our Father, Hail Mary (ten times), Glory
be to the Father, O my Jesus..
